Sabyasachi’s whose design philosophy is ‘Personalised imperfection of the human hand’. His collection which opened the Summer Resort 2015 at Lakme Fashion Week was based on Vintage Florals which was revolving around the 70’s fashion. The collection included a small range of shimmery clothing for the party wear. Lets have a look at it shall we?

The 70s fashion was brought back to the ramp with silhouettes like cropped tops, huge flowy A-line maxi skirts, saree skirts with belts. The tops were all 3/4 sleeved all well fitted crops which has been doing the rounds for a long time now.

On the print direction it was an overload of vintage florals which were all giving the dull homely looks yet comfortable. The beautiful florals were in the tones of corals, peaches, mauve s, and earthy beige’s with a pop of oranges and ocher’s here and there. The motifs were of the right sizes; not at all over-sized like the last season trends.

The very Important thing everyone misses out is the animal embossed on the belt which is seen in most of Sabyasachi’s Pieces adding detail to it.

Here are the subtle party wears with all the shimmer in them. That’s what I describe them as. These gorgeous pieces with silver, gold and cherry red shimmer long maxi dress were again very flowy and airy. Some of the black midi boxy jet black dress had very intricate embroideries which is the trademark of Sabyasachi Couture.
These Dudes were looking hot wearing the Sabyasachi Couture. The Kurta Payjama look with a shawl in beige tones, the printed kurta with a waistcoat and the best was the Bottle green ensemble with red boots adding value to the whole look was what it looked like.
Finally the Pastel florals on the men’s collection makes me go awww… as the florals were so soft in hues like the peaches, corals, pista with the solid waistcoat to tone down the whole floral mania. Oh the man bags adding the masculinity to the whole attire was a sight worth watching!
So here was the small review of the LFW Resort 2015 opening by Sabyasachi Mukherjee
